Between Comino and adjacent islet of Cominotto or Kemmunett lies the clear blue waters of the Blue Lagoon AKA the Crystal Lagoon - not to be confused with the Blue Grotto on the south coast of Malta.

Frequented by large numbers of tourists and trip boats daily in summer, the Blue Lagoon is a much photographed, picturesque bay, with a brilliant white, sandy base, and a rich marine life that make it popular with divers, snorkelers and swimmers.
