Malta - Falconry Centre, SiggiewiWe visited the Malta Falconry Centre in Siggiewi as part of our visit to Malta in 2011Advertised as "a once in a lifetime experience that you will treasure forever" - We found this to be an over-hyped visitor attraction, with around just a dozen different birds of prey.
During the summer (July, August and September) there is just one falconry display at 11.00 but in winter there are claimed to be two flying displays at 11.00 and 14.00 - When we visited there was a threat of rain in the air, so the 14.00 show was cancelled - even though it didn't rain!
We were offered the opportunity to stroke a very friendly owl. You simply could not "spend the day" at this attraction. We are sorry to say that we give the Malta Falconry Centre a big 'thumbs down' on value for money and entertainment value! With vague opening hours and 'Closed on Mondays'. The Malta Sightseeing hop on / hop off tour bus services this facility as part of its South Tour and as this is an hourly service you will probably be glad of the reasonably priced on-site cafe.
