Malta - Valletta, Sacra Infermeria - Knights Hospitaller - Mediterranean Conference Centre

We visited Valletta and saw the Sacra Infermeria built by the Knights Hospitaller, now the Mediterranean Conference Centre, during our visit to Malta in 2011

Order of St John of Jerusalem AKA the Order of the Knights of MaltaCurrently known as the Mediterranean Conference Centre originally built in 1574 by the Knights Hospitaller of the Order of St John of Jerusalem AKA the Order of the Knights of Malta - the building was known as the Sacra Infermeria, Sacred Infirmary or Hospital.

Claimed to have the longest single roofed room in Europe, also stands above the modern theatre that houses The Malta Experience entered by way of the building across the Triq Il Mediterran on the St Lazarus Bastion next to Valletta's Fort St Elmo.
