Malta - Fontana, near Victoria (Rabat), GozoWe visited Fontana, south west of Victoria (Rabat) on Gozo during our visit to Malta in 2011 Fontana's claim to fame is to a great extent the Knight's Wash Houses on either side of the main street. Even today local women use the washrooms for doing their domestic household laundry! Gozo Lace - Maltese handicrafts centre in Fontana, Gozo There is, close by, also an indoor sales area mainly for the purchase of Maltese lace, Maltese woolen goods and other handicrafts. Across the street from the Maltese handicrafts centre in Fontana, there is an outlet for the sale of local Maltese grape and fruit wines, olive oil, preserves, pastes and confectionery. Access to Fontana has been improved greatly by road improvements between Victoria / Rabat and Xlendi funded by the EU.
