Malta Passport, Visa and Health Requirements

Personal Safety & Security - As you would in the UK, be alert and observant and report any unattended items or suspicious activity to the Maltese police.

Risk of Injury - Avoid the risk of injury by taking simple precautions:

Don't dive or jump into water (even in a swimming pool) you are not familiar with. There may be hidden obstructions.

Only take part in organised sports or recreational activities. Don't 'do your own thing' without local advice.

Friends & Family - Tell friends and family where you are going and leave them your contact details.

Important Documents - Leave copies of your passport, travel insurance policy (including 24hr emergency numbers), ticket details, credit/debit card details and relevant telephone numbers (loss or cancellation), your itinerary and/or store them online using a secure data storage site.

Money - Make sure you have enough money to cover your full stay in Malta or Gozo with some spare for emergencies.

Only carry enough money as you need for the day - leave the rest in a hotel safe.

If there is more than one in your party - split the money between you.

Don't carry all of your cards with you - leave at least one in the hotel safe.

Make sure your credit / debit cards don't expire while your away!

Use a money belt or secure (zippered not buttoned) inside pocket.
